MÁLAGA CF CHAMPION OF THE ANTEQUERA INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S FOOTBALL CUP

Málaga CF was proclaimed champion of the I Antequera International Children's Soccer Cup this afternoon between the facilities of the Antequera and Nuevo Maulí soccer fields, with the presence of several teams from the province, and two Japanese teams. The blue and white team went with all its stars to the tournament and as a favorite it responded to the demands of the championship to win the final victory. The peculiarity of this cup has been the presence of the two Japanese teams from Tokyo (Japan) that have given a great show to the spectators who went to the stands to witness the championship, since they were teams not without quality and that physically they were at a great level.

The Japanese Wings teams are the affiliate of one of the most successful clubs in the Far East: Tokio Verdi. These teams are concentrated in the Hotel Antequera until March 30, taking advantage of the good communications of this complex to make a tour of the largest capitals of Andalusia. The team led by Jesús Javier Morán also collected all the championship awards, obtaining the trophies for top scorer, goalkeeper with the fewest goals and best player in the championship, which fell to Sergio Díaz, León Zuazua and Lucas Ligio, respectively. This first International Cup was also attended by Antequera CF, CD Media Lauxa de Loja and the Municipal Soccer School of Mijas. At the final awards ceremony held at the Antequera Hotel, the Councilor for Sports of the Antequera City Council, Alberto Vallespín, the organizer of the championship, Hiroyuki Hirahashi, and the CEO of Antequera, Ramón Jiménez, were present. The tournament took place in a first phase with two groups of three teams facing each other as a group, of which the second classified went on to dispute third place and the first the final.

Third place was contested by Antequera CF and Wings, with the Antequera team winning the penalties, while the final was disputed by Málaga CF and CD Medina Lauxa with a victory by 2 goals to 0 in favor of the Costa del Sol team. The Antequera City Council, the Malaga Football Federation and the Andalusian Technical Referees Committee have collaborated so that the organization of this tournament has been a great success.
